Public Forum
Overview
Each year, IUGA holds a free forum, open to the residents of the local community hosting its Annual Meeting. The aim of the Public Forum is to empower women and advance their understanding of problems with the pelvic floor area, such as incontinence. The 2018 IUGA Public Forum was held on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at the Austria Center Vienna.
Nearly 70 women and men from the local community attended this year’s event, where local experts in pelvic floor disorders presented on topics ranging from the effects of childbirth and aging on the pelvic floor to the role of nursing in incontinence, and fecal incontinence. Following the presentations, attendees had the opportunity to ask questions in a lively Q&A session that ran past the time allotted for the event.
IUGA thanks the Medizinische Kontinenzgesellschaft Osterreich (Austrian Continence Society) for their assistance in planning and marketing this event.
